How we work together
How does your model work?
Our model is straightforward. We provide free introductions of experts to lawyers. You charge us your going hourly rate. We guarantee you on-time payment, and we sit in the middle on the billing. In short, you focus on the expert work, and we take care of finding the opportunities and handling the money.
Is there any fee to join?
No. There is no fee to join our network and no cost to you for the introductions we make. Our service fee is added on our side of the billing, not taken out of your rate.
Do I have to work exclusively with Barr Group?
No. There is no exclusivity. You remain free to take work from any other source. We simply bring you opportunities we think are worth your time; everything else is up to you.
Getting paid
How and when do I get paid?
You send us your invoice, and we pay you on time. We sit in the middle of the billing relationship: you invoice us, and we invoice the lawyer or their client. You do not have to chase a law firm for payment, because that is our job, not yours.
What format should my invoice and time log be in?
Whatever format you already use. Send your invoice and time log in your own format. We do not require you to adopt our templates, portals, or systems.
Your CV and our database
You have my CV. How did you get it, and will you keep it?
Our scope of experts is expanding rapidly, and we found your CV online. We would like your permission to keep it in our database. With your permission, we would hold it on file and only reach out when we find an opportunity worth your time to consider.
How often will you contact me?
Only when it matters. We reach out when we have a specific opportunity that fits your background and is worth your time to consider. We are not going to fill your inbox.
How do I submit my CV?
Send us your current CV or resume in whatever format you already have; there is no special template to fill out. Email it to us at [email protected], or use our contact page and attach your CV. If we already have an older copy, just send your latest version and we will replace it. Adding or updating your CV puts you in front of the right opportunities and carries no fee and no exclusivity.
