  • Founder and director of a university communication theory and signal processing laboratory that conducts research in signal processing for non-invasive physiological monitoring, wearable devices and their communications networks, and wireless communications security
  • Secured sponsored research grants totaling over $1.6M as Principal Investigator (PI), the largest of which being a videoplethysmographic (VPG) method of atrial fibrillation detection
  • Conceptualized and led academic and industry research in Wireless Body Area Networks (WBAN), Wireless Physical Layer Security (WPLS), Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM), and signal processing for bio-medical applications
  • Earlier in his career, developed state-of-the-art technology for power-line communications, including by: performing analyses of communication algorithms in software using Matlab, C and C++; implementing algorithms in FPGAs using VHDL; leading a design migration from FPGA to ASIC along with management of the testing and verification; and performing design integration of power-line modems (PHY+MAC)
  • Over a twelve-year period, developed algorithms for communication frequency allocation for the Israel Defense Force
  • Named inventor on about a dozen issued patents serving a range of industries including novel methods of contactless detection of cardiac activity, wireless and wired communications, and power distribution
