Rules

The following C coding rules relate to the use of template source code files:

Rule 4.4.a.) A set of templates for header files and source files shall be maintained at the project level.

Appendix B and Appendix C contain example templates.

Reasoning

Starting each new file from a template ensures consistency in file header comment blocks and ensures inclusion of appropriate copyright notices.

Exceptions

None.

Enforcement

The consistency of comment block formats shall be enforced during code reviews.
